These 12 songs were cherry picked out of over 150 others and represent the first three years of my songwriting efforts from the fall of 2020 through the fall of 2023. During that time I was listening to a lot of Robert Earl Keen, Guy Clark, Jerry Jeff Walker, Marty Robbins, and James McMurtry. I was obsessed with how these legends told stories and the way they crafted their timeless songs. My great hope for this album is that it bares some resemblance to theirs in quality and substance and ultimately that it holds up through the decades the way theirs do.
